Now, there are a few key changes of which patients should be aware.  First, there is a slight chance of experiencing clotting which may cause patients to have to take anticoagulant medication. Also, while many hoped that Anti-Rejection Drugs would be eliminated as a result of the Artificial Implantable Kidney, a recent update suggested that this may not necessarily be the case, and there may be a slight chance that patients still must take Immunosuppressant (Anti-Rejection) Medication. The Research Team said, "The possibility of having to take Immunosuppressive Drugs or Anticoagulants is minimal and even non-existent."

The fact remains that we will have better insights as we progress through Human Trials which are still set to begin late 2017 or early 2018.
