The following outlines how the American Kidney Fund may help Dialysis patients in need of financial assistance:

The numbers are impressive. According to Kidneyfund.org, the 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization raised over a whopping $212,0000,000 in 2011. Named a Top 10 Charity by Charity Navigator, the American Kidney Fund said, "Ninety-seven cents of every dollar we spend goes to patients and programs." This allowed them, in just one year, to help 66,300 patients maintain their health insurance, and provide Safety Net Grants to 18,900 Dialysis patients - allowing them to afford necessities not covered by health insurance.
